RULES FOR 2008 AAU FALL  STATE FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT

The 10:U and 11:U teams will play 14 minute halves with a stop clock. All other age divisions will play 16 minute halves with a stop clock.

There will be a three minute half time and a five minute warm-up. Five minutes will be put on the clock at the end of a game. The next game will start when that five minutes expires. Teams should be ready to play if a game ends early.

The winning team will receive a team trophy.

MHSAA rules will be followed with a few exceptions:

·       Game time is forfeit time – be sure to be there early as games may start earlier than the posted time

·       There will be four 30 second time outs to be used anytime during the game

·       Overtime will be two minutes with one time out – a second overtime will be sudden death

·       Bonus on tenth foul, there will be no double bonus

·       The clock will run continuously when one team is ahead by 20 points or more

A reminder that MHSAA rules provide that:

·       There will be a 10 second backcourt violation

·       There will be a 5 second closely guarded violation

·       On free throws, players may move when the ball makes contact with the rim
