FORMAT FOR ASSOCIATION FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENTS

·       This is a two day tournament

·       All participants must have a current AAU card. Coaches will be asked to show cards at sign-in.

·       Players must be eligible to play to play in the age division the team is participating in – any exceptions must be approved by host

·       All teams are guaranteed four games

·       Teams will have two games in pool play and at least two games in bracket play. Pools will be composed of three-teams – there may be some four team pools because of the numbers but those teams will still only play two games in pool play (1-2; 3-4; 1-4; 2-3).

·       Teams will be seeded into the pools and how a team finishes in pool play will determine its place in the brackets

·       The brackets are a modified single elimination with every team getting a “free game” in the first round – byes – if needed – will be given to seeded teams. If a team loses in the first round, it is not eliminated. If a team loses after the first round, it goes home
